Our Heritage and History

Founded on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT, and a group of parishioners, Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. LEARN MORE

Membership

• With 1.9 million members around the world, the Knights of Columbus have been investing our time, effort and resources into our values of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism since 1882.

• Chartered on October 14, 1930, in Daphne, AL.
• Serves three Parishes on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay: Christ the King (Daphne), Shrine of the Holy Cross (Daphne), and Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos (Spanish Fort)
• Currently 158 members.
